His Excellency Shri. Nikhil Kumar
Shri. Nikhil Kumar has assumed the office of Kerala Governor on March 23, 2013.
Shri. Nikhil Kumar was the Governor of Nagaland, prior to his present appointment. Being a retired Indian Police Service Officer, he served as the Commissioner of Police, New Delhi. He has also served as the Chief of National Security Guards.
H. E. Shri. Nikhil Kumar was administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court Justice Dr. Manjula Chellur. The ceremony took place at Kerala Raj Bhavan and was attended by the Chief Minister Shri. Oommen Chandy, Speaker Shri. G. Karthikeyan, cabinet members Shri. Adoor Prakash, Shri. P. K. Kunhalikutty, Shri. K. B. Ganesh Kumar, Shri. Shibu Baby John, Shri. K. C. Joseph, Shri. V. S. SivaKumar, Shri. C. N. Balakrishnan, Shri.Aryadan Mohammed, Kumari. P. K. Jayalakshmi, Opposition Leader Shri. V. S. Achuthanandan, Deputy Speaker Shri. N. Sakthan, MPs, MLAs, Chief Secretary Shri. K. Jose Cyriac and other senior officials.
