UN Public Service Award 2013 for Sri.Oommenchandi's 

Mass Contact Programme

CONGRATULATIONS

                Chief Minister Shri. Oommen Chandy's Mass Contact Programme has won the prestigious United Nations Public Service Award for 2013.   CM's Mass Contact Programme bagged the first prize in CATEGORY 1 - Preventing and Combating Corruption in the Public Service from the Asia-Pacific region, while Republic of Korea came second. The United Nations Public Service Awards is the most prestigious international recognition of excellence in public service. It rewards the creative achievements and contributions of public service institutions that lead to a more effective and responsive public administration in countries worldwide. Through an annual competition, the UN Public Service Awards promotes the role, professionalism and visibility of public service. The United Nations Public Service Forum, Day and Awards Ceremony will take place in Manama, the Kingdom of Bahrain, from 24 to 27 June 2013.
